Kutch International Border echos with the chant of Bharat Mata Ki Jay
Kutch International Border echos with the chant of Bharat Mata Ki Jay by the children of Jeevan Prabhat

Kutch ’s International Border with Pakistan is situated in the heart of the Great Rann of Kutch. The region is a challenge not only for the people who live there but also for those traveling inside it. In winter it is very cold and the summers are just terrible with the temperature going to 45+ and sand storms which last whole day. The soldiers of Border Security Force face these hardships and live a lonely life away from their near & dear ones so that we may live in peace and luxury.

Recently the children of "Jeevan Prabhat" were taken by 11BN of the Border Security Force to visit the International border and see the life the Jawans were leading there and how they are guarding our border against any threat. Their Moto is “Duty Unto Death”. The drive to the border from Gandhidham was a long and tiring one. After Khavada the last city on the Indian side there was no human nor animal habitation to be seen any where. There we some birds but after some time they also disappeared. We were all alone in the vastness. We reached the border after a hard drive of three hours from Khavda.

Once we arrived the air was filled with the chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Matram” by the children. The Jawans were also happy to have the company of the children and eagerly showed them around and answered all their questions. The children took an oath to serve their Motherland at all times and also become patriotic citizens and to do something for their Motherland. This pledge was spontaneous and without any prior readiness. The children also prayed to God for the safety and wellbeing of all the Jawans who are guarding our border. The vibrations around the place were positive and full of patriotism. The children had a thrilling and exciting moment. It was an experience of life time for all those who were present.

The children were then served hot lunch by the Jawans and then the Commanding Officer of 11BN BSF Shri Pramod Kumar had an interaction session with the children. The children asked all sorts of questions and they were all given satisfactory answers by Shri Pramod Kumar. Shri Vachonidhi Arya gave a brief account of the lives of the children and also about "Jeevan Prabhat".

After the interaction session the children were taken right to the international border to see the barbed wire fencing. The experience was a thrilling one and an unforgettable trip.

The Commanding Officer of 11BN BSF Shri Pramod Kumar, the 2nd in Command Shri T K Teiza, the Deputy Commandant Shri R Rajsuria and Inspector D S Rawat were took the pains to make all the arrangements and make the trip successful.
