Shri Girish Khoslaji the grandfather of the children of Jeevan Prabhat took Vanprastha Diksha on the 14th of January 2008.
Shri Girish Khoslaji comes to Gandhidham every year and stays for one month with the children of Jeevan Prabhat. He now considers the children as a part of his family and thus it was his heart’s desire to take this important step of his life amidst the children. He says that Jeevan Prabhat is “My Dream Land”. The children also lovingly call him “DADA” (grandfather).
The diksha ceremony was conducted by Shri Akhilesh Arya and the diksha was given by Mata Jyotsnarani Acharya the wife of late freedom fighter Shri Ramchandra Acharya. As it was Makarsankranti the guests and the children flew kites the whole morning and then the diksha ceremony started at 4pm and continued till 7pm.
In order to make it more user friendly and appealing we have redesigned our web site which was also launched on this occasion. After the ceremony the children presented a cultural programmee for their Dadaji and the visiting dignitaries.
People came from all over India and from USA to attend the function. Even Khoslajis family came all the way from USA. They included his wife Smt. Suman Khosla, son Bhuvnesh daughter-in-law Nikita and his grandson Aryaman. Others to come from USA were Dr. Rajinder and Smt. Jyoti Gandhi, Shri & Smt Major Arun. Prof. Swatantra Kumar Vice Chancellor Gurukul Kangdi University, Shri Mithailal Singh the President of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Mumbai, Dr. Tulsiram Bangia President Arya Samaj Vashi, Shri. After becoming a Vanprasthi Shri Girish Khosla ji has said that he will now grant more time for the children of Jeevan Prabhat and thus do justice to his new role in life.
